Samsung Z

We’re still waiting for Samsung to release its first Tizen smartphone. It announced the Samsung Z back in June, but we’re still not sure when it will actually go on sale. The company planned to release it in Russia during the third quarter, with other markets to follow sometime after that, but now it looks like even the Russian release might be later than planned. As a reminder, the Samsung Z has a 4.8 inch 1280 x 720 Super AMOLED display, a 2.3GHz quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM, an 8 megapixel main camera, a 2.1 megapixel front facing one, 16GB of built in storage and a microSD card slot with support for cards of up to 64GB.

Review Sony PlayStation 4, Is a Fantastic!

The PlayStation 4 is the most powerful games console on the planet. With more graphical power than the Xbox One, 32 times more system memory than the PS3 and a firm focus on pure gaming experiences rather than media mojo, it has established itself as the next-gen console to beat.
It's a games console built by gamers for gamers. It won the hearts and minds of many from the word go, with lots of prospective next-genners left feeling alienated by some of Microsoft's bizarre policies and choices for the Xbox One – many of which were reversed as a result of a backlash.

iOS 7 Jailbreak Released, What About That?

At long last, an untethered jailbreak for all iPhones, iPads, and iPods running iOS 7 is available to download. Early reports suggest that the Evasi0n7 jailbreak, released by the Evad3rs group, works flawlessly — but for now, we cannot recommend that you install it. There is a lot of controversy surrounding both the development and release of this first iOS 7 jailbreak, and an internal source at Evad3rs tells ExtremeTech that the jailbreak contains “Chinese malware” — a prominent placement that reportedly netted a “high six figure” payment for the Evad3rs. Furthermore, with iOS 7.1 due to land any day now, there is concern that the Evasi0n jailbreak gives up the zero-day vulnerability too soon, allowing Apple to quickly plug the hole.

Review Dell Inspiron 14R-5437

The Dell Inspiron 14R-5437 is a desktop replacement laptop that can go the distance. With a 6-cell removable battery pack and a power sipping fourth-generation Intel Core i3 processor, the Inspiron 14R-5437 has the power to run for almost ten hours. This is all day and into the night, which makes a difference for the highly mobile student, writer, or family member who expects non-tethered computing. By virtue of its long battery life among other attractive features, the Dell Inspiron 14R-5437 is our new Editors' Choice for entry-level desktop replacement laptops.

Welcome to Google Android 4.4 KitKat

Google Android 4.4 KitKat Google Android 4.4 builds on the success of Jelly Bean with KitKat, a powerful mobile operating system that makes up for its lack of candy coating with a solid framework. You can look forward to always listening Google Now, a new dialer that brings the power of search to your phone calls, and tons of tweaks under the hood to make this the slickest version of Android to date. But despite being fast and reliable, there's not much new for users to sink their teeth into with KitKat. Android users waiting for a response to the bold redesign of Apple's iOS 7 will have to wait, because KitKat is pretty much status quo.

Review Asus VivoBook V551LB-DB71T

Asus VivoBook V551LB-DB71T   In recent months we've seen plenty of slim laptops and ultrabooks adding Windows 8 and touch to the portability and performance that ultraportables are known for. While the Asus VivoBook V551LB-DB71T may look like more of the same at first glance, it ups the ante with Intel's new fourth-generation processor, discrete Nvidia graphics, and all-day battery life, offering even more of the performance and portability you expect in an ultraportable. But with these sort of slim designs becoming the new normal, the Asus VivoBook V551LB takes top spot for touch-enabled mainstream desktop replacement laptops.By Brian Westover,
